NOTE I originally started this blog 2 days before Sha's 2nd Christmas home. Yes I am now just getting to posting it.
Wow, this is the longest I have gone without blogging, amazing how difficult is now to find time in our days for the important things in life. I had good inspiration to start blogging again thanks to my sunshine. Last weekend we were still lying in bed and she asked me to tell her about the day we met and how we felt. Well my awesome sister in law had made me this scrapbook of my first blogs in China so I pulled that out and started reading my blogs to her. To my shock and to my delight I was amazed how quickly you forget the little but very important moments and I was grateful I had blogged about it so I made a promise to myself and to Sha that I would always find time to blog, even if it's brief:)
With that said since my last post we've celebrated Halloween, Thanksgiving, Gift of Jade (from oldest family member to her), first NYC show, visit to Dupont and Giofredda's, meeting cousin Aaron for the first/ time and what I can't believe I didn't blog on was our 1 year Gotcha Day anniversary. Yes folks 1 year has come and gone so quickly and as cliche as it is, it goes by so fast. We also experienced our first fall off the horse (with no injury), first concussion (all good though), first friends bday party and so much more
We have a lot coming up in the near future so stay tuned for exciting news. For now just enjoy some new pics.
Our little miss sunshine, Yao Sha is from Changsha City Hunan, China. She is 9 years old and will soon learn her forever family is coming for her. Please follow our journey with us.

Fall 2011
This is my favorite season of all. Our favorite market's, Bishops, is setup for the fall season with loads of pumpkins, scare crow making, hay mazes, hot cider and mums. Here are some pics that capture it all.

Jersey Shore and Auntie Lisa
Ooh how vacations come and go so fast. Sha experienced her first visit to the Jersey Shore and a vacation with the "LoRusso" side of the family. She met Uncle John, Marianne, Aunt Linda and Uncle Nick for the first time. We had a ball. We built sand castles, went mini golfing...twice, got rained out the first time and on the second she got a hole in one on the first hole. She also saw dolphins which was very exciting. We ate mussels, played games and all celebrated the birth of Billy and Alicia's beautiful baby boy Aaron. It was at that moment when we realized this beach house is nothing but goodness. A year ago when we were at the same house was when we got our "CA" for Sha. Here is the link from that time, crazy to read back on all of this http://finallythesunshine.blogspot.com/2010/09/were-cabled.html. Below are loads of pics from a great weekend. Enjoy.
