Back To School Shopping

Well the song "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" holds an entire new meaning to me now that school is almost back in session.  Today we conquered our "Back To School" checklist. We started the day off with a haircut for Sha.  Never thought a haircut could bring me to tears but it did when I heard Sha telling her hair dresser "I want my bangs cut like my mom's, on an angle"...yes all you mom's reading this know why that would bring me to tears-lol.  After her haircut we went to Target with a list bigger than Santa's wish list.  We had fun trying on different outfits.  While there Sha saw this Hello Kitty hat she just "had to have".  I kept saying she can't wear hats to school but she was persistent and anyone who knows me knows I love to accessorize so you can imagine how that story ended-ha.  When we got home she reminded me so much of how I was when I was her age, I lived for new clothes and school supplies for the first day of school.  With her love of wardrobe and my love of my new camera we had a fun, silly moment this afternoon.

Blueberry Picking

One of my absolute favorite places ever is Bishop's.   Sha and I had a mommy/daughter day out and went blueberry picking.  This morning we are going to make blueberry pancakes and muffins..yummy.  It was a really fun day for us Jameson girls.

Uncle Colin, Aunt Cheryl and Callie's summer visit

Ahhh what an amazing and fun time we always have when Colin and Cheryl are up.  Sha just adores them both to pieces and was over the moon excited when she learned Callie, their dog, also came along.  Colin and Cheryl drove late on Thursday night and arrived at the house while we were sleeping.  We told Sha they should be getting here Friday afternoon so we completely threw her off.  I did this mainly because she had a reading class at 9:00 Friday morning which I was confident she would not have gone if she knew they were there, plus who doesn't love a good surprise:)  The challenge of pulling it off was backing out of the driving without her seeing their car.  Luckily I had a brilliant idea of bringing Jack along for the ride since she never takes her eyes off of him...worked like a charm.  When we got back she was beyond excited however she did run straight for Callie-ha.

The weekend was great, we played "headbands", went to Bill's, did a tour of Thimble Islands, picnicked at the beach, made sand castles, went shopping and can't forget bananagrams.  It was such a great time I did not want it to end.  We love and miss you guys. xo.
